Indipendent Diving

The SSI Independent Diving program provides students with the knowledge and skills needed to dive safely and comfortably without a designated dive buddy using redundant gas supplies. The price includes the digital material and certification. Any dives or equipment rental are NOT included.

Training requirements: 75 dives, Deep, Navigation, Night and Stress & Rescue specialties.

Advanced Adventurer

If you cannot decide which specialty programs are the best choice for you, join the SSI Advanced Adventurer program! With this program, you can try a variety of specialties before committing to full specialty programs. It is a great way to experience what advanced diver training is all about and how valuable it can be to your diving adventures. During the Advanced Adventurer Program, you will try out 5 different specialties. You will complete one open water training dive per specialty after a comprehensive briefing with your SSI Instructor.

Decompression Diving

Are you interested in learning how to extend your dive beyond the traditional no-decompression limits? Do you want to understand and use more of your dive computer’s features? Then the SSI Decompression Diving Specialty is for you! To earn your SSI Decompression Diving Specialty, you will learn how to plan and conduct a limited decompression dive using dive planning software and a multi-gas computer to a maximum depth of 40 meters. The price includes all the necessary dives, the digital material and certification. Any equipment rental is NOT included.

Science of Diving

Expand your dive knowledge and gain a better understanding of your equipment, physics, the aquatic environment and more with the online SSI Science of Diving specialty. Join the SSI Science of Diving specialty and you will develop a complete understanding of the underwater world and its effects on the human body.

Marine Ecology

Are you fascinated with the oceans? Do you want to learn more about the incredible environments you are diving in? Join the SSI Marine Ecology specialty program! You learn about the exciting science of Marine Ecology and become an underwater naturalist in no time. We can teach all the SSI Marine Ecology Specialties: Shark Ecology, Turtle Ecology, Manta Ray Ecology, Fish Identification, Coral Identification.

Advanced Wreck Diving

The SSI Advanced Wreck Diving certification provides all you need to plan and conduct wreck penetration dives within the light zone to maximum depth of 30 meters. Learn to use specialized wreck diving gear, gas management concepts, and buddy team skills to safely conduct small wreck penetration dives. The price includes the digital material and certification. Any dives or equipment rental are NOT included.

Wreck Diving

Many of the ocean’s best dive sites are wrecks. These impressive structures attract unusually high densities of marine life and give you the chance to immerse in living history as you dive. There is nothing quite like wreck diving and the SSI Wreck Diving specialty will give you all the skills and knowledge you need to become a safe and confident wreck diver.

Cavern diving

Do you dream of diving the crystal-clear waters of a Mexican cenote or exploring caverns in the Mediterranean? Become an SSI Cavern Diver and discover the thrill of leaving direct access to the surface behind! Learn all you need to independently plan and conduct cavern dives within the light zone to a maximum depth of 30 meters.

Drysuit diving

Drysuit diving opens up a world of opportunities, including diving remote Arctic destinations and exploring cold-water dive sites teeming with life. Dry suit diving also keeps you warm on multi-dive days when you do not want to spend your time getting in and out of a cold wetsuit. The SSI Dry Suit Diving specialty program is the best way to become a dry suit diver and teaches you all the knowledge and techniques you need to dive safely and comfortably in a dry suit.

Sidemount Diving

Are you ready for better streamlining in the water? Take the weight off your back by joining SSI’s Recreational Sidemount program. This course will teach you the proper sidemount setup and techniques required to use a sidemount configuration efficiently and effectively with one or two stage cylinders.

Wave, tides and currents can impact your dives and affect your safety if you do not know how to handle them. The SSI Waves, Tides and Currents specialty will enhance your dive skills and understanding, so you can enjoy diving in different environments safely and with confidence.

React Right

React Right is SSI’s emergency first response course and provides you with the training and knowledge you need to act as a first responder in a medical emergency. In this flexible dive program, you can choose which subjects you want to learn about, including primary assessment, first aid, CPR and primary stabilization techniques. You can also learn about oxygen administration in diving emergencies and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) basics.

Diver Stress & Rescue

The SSI Diver Stress and Rescue specialty program teaches you the skills you need to protect yourself and other divers. You will learn how to identify stress, how to prevent accidents and be taught practical techniques to conduct rescues and provide emergency care. With a combination of pool and open water practice sessions, you will become well prepared and confident at handling emergency and rescue situations.

Photo & Video

Underwater photography has some challenges not found on land, but with the SSI Photo & Video specialty program, you will soon learn how to capture your amazing underwater experiences. This program provides the in-depth knowledge you need to dive with an underwater camera and properly use, maintain and store your equipment.

Night Diving & Limited Visibility

Night diving requires different skills from diving during the day. The SSI Night Diving and Limited Visibility specialty is the best way to learn about night diving and practice the techniques you will need to become a safe and confident night diver.

Navigation

In this specialty program, you will gain the advanced skills and knowledge you need to navigate underwater safely and confidently. You will learn how to use a compass and natural navigation techniques, estimate distance, how to leave and return to a designated point, plus basic navigation patterns.

Deep Diving

The SSI Deep Diving Specialty will teach you all you need to dive up to 40 meters, through a mixture of academic sessions and open water dives. You will learn to plan and safely complete your deep diving adventures and use computers and gas consumption calculations to get the most from your deep dives.

Perfect Buoancy

Buoyancy is an essential dive skill, but any diver will tell you it takes time to perfect. The Perfect Buoyancy specialty will teach you advanced buoyancy skills and techniques, so you can master your buoyancy more quickly and enjoy more relaxed dive adventures. In this fascinating program, you will also learn new skills that protect the environment and work in every diving situation.

Enriched Air Nitrox

Do you want to extend your dive time and explore the dive sites you love for longer? Join the SSI Enriched Air Nitrox specialty program and become a nitrox diver! This is the perfect course to get the most out of your dive time, especially on multi-dive days, and helps minimize diver fatigue. The course can be combined with the Open Water Diver course!

Master Diver

SSI Master Diver is a recognition card. You can reach this level with 5 specialties, one of which must be the Stress & Rescue course, and 50 logged dives. You can also get this recognition if you have 2 Specialties from another recognized association!

Advanced Open Water Diver

SSI Advanced Open Water Diver is a recognition card, you reach this level once you have completed 4 different specialties and logged 24 dives. You can also get this recognition if you have 2 Specialities from another recognized association!

Specialty Diver

SSI recognizes its divers when they meet certain levels of training and experience. SSI Specialty Diver is a recognition card that you can achieve once you complete 2 SSI specialties and logged 12 dives. You can received this recognition also if you have one specialty from another recognized association.

Specialty Instructor

Continuing Education is not only paramount for creating safe, active SSI divers, it is also essential to your long-term success as an instructor. Continuing your diving education is not just for your divers, but for you as well. Becoming an SSI Specialty Instructor is easy. Continue your diving education as an instructor by enrolling in a Specialty Instructor Seminar for each of the diving specialties you would like to teach. Price on request.

Assistant Instructor Trainer

Do you want to train future scuba diving instructors? Educating versatile and well-trained scuba diving instructors is the foundation for long-term growth in the scuba diving industry. Assistant Instructor Trainers prepare Assistant Instructors to teach academics and conduct in-water training. As an Assistant Instructor Trainer, you are also qualified to assist Instructor Trainers, giving you valuable experience along your scuba diving instructor pathway.

Assistant Instructor

It allows you to collect valuable teaching experience, practice briefings, teach academics, and conduct in-water training.

We can also combine the SSI Assistant Instructor and the SSI Instructor course.

Divemaster

To become a SSI Divemaster you just have to do the SSI Dive Guide and the Science of Diving Specialty. The SSI Divemaster rating recognizes candidates that have the knowledge and training necessary to perform the duties of a certified assistant. These duties including assisting SSI Instructors with conducting entry-level and continuing education scuba training programs.

Dive Guide
